Crimean & Romanian Tatars In Izmit-Turkey
*********************************************
When I started writing down my short Life Story, never imagined it would lead to story of many people living at Derince, Izmit city, Turkey. Within shortest time it has turned the “Story of Derince”, which means covering Romanian Migrants of Turkmens, Crimean Tatars, White Muslim Gypsies, Lazs, Yoruks [Nomads], Muslim Georgians & other local migrants left their places they have lived ever since they were born and raised, in Turkey’s many different places & cities.
May maternal side, Huriye-Halil Ortac Family were deported from the town of Ahmatlar [Stefan Karadja], Tutrakan, Romania, which takes place in Bulgarian after many border-conflicts settling agreements in 1935. During the deportation my mom, Necmiye [Ortac] Kiraz was just at around 3-5 years.
I have grown up set in my ears along many Romanian 1935 Exchange Migration Stories from my mom; Necmiye [Ortac] Kiraz in around Derince Romanian Turmens, Crimean Tatars & White Muslim Gypsies Ghetto…
Here are below I will just add some a few pictures selected out of my various albums having named as “Derince & Her Surroundings”.
In the names & holy souls of my mom; Necmiye [Ortac] Kiraz, my Yoruk [Nomad] father; Mehmet Kiraz and my elder sister Heyecan Kiraz, who were buried side by side at the Yoruk Cemetery at Derince, Izmit, Turkey. May Allah bless them all. Let their souls be in peace infinite.
Please do your thoughts and prayer to their souls & to the ones, who passed away here but their close relatives or descendants were gone unknown and unnoticed today.
