Thenes Sarapevi [Winehouse]-Izmit: Yusuf Ziya Tom is my younghood friend, the owner of this nice place. Thenes and Thenedos Island in Canakkale city, Turkey. Greek Mythlogy says us below story: King Kyknos, one of the children of Poseidon the god of the seas, had a son called Thenes. When Thenes's mother died the king remarried. However, the step mother slandered Thenes and the king, believing his new wife's tales, had his son put in a chest and thrown into the sea. The chest went past the straits of Canakkale and hit the shores of the island called Leukophrys. Thenes got out of the chest safe and sound and started living on this island.
